One of our favourite dive site, Shaab Marsa Alam is a 790 m long reef located 4 km off shore. Due to its length, the reef offers many different dive profiles; a large and magnificent coral garden in the northwestern side and a smaller one in the eastern side, the wreck of the “Legend”, a sunken cruise ship in the south side, and some small caverns in the middle of the reef.
The seabed along the sheltered side of the reef is dotted with coral rocks and populated by all kind of marine life. Even pods of spinner dolphins happen to stop by here on their way back to hunting!
Currents may occasionally flow throughout the entire site, but they are generally moderate.
