Because of its shallow depth and its sandy slopping bottom, Sheikh Malek is suitable for snorkelers and divers of all levels. The south side of the reef is characterized by impressive pinnacles, and there are also some seagrass areas where you might see turtles and eagle rays, and even – with a bit of luck – seahorses and the dugong.
